½ Gallon Water
8 ounces Dry Split Peas
2 stalks Celery
3 ounces Diced Onion (about ½ an onion)
4 ounces Diced Carrots
2 cloves Garlic
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
- Measure ½ water into a large pot.
- Add Peas, celery, onion, carrots, and garlic
- Bring entire mixture to a boil; simmer for one hour
- add salt and pepper to taste.
Yield 8 – 8 ounce servings
