Air-conditioned, comfortable lodging.
Wellspring Florida campers enjoy private single-occupancy rooms, arranged in suites of single bedrooms, with shared bathroom and a living room. On-site laundry facilities are available for campers' use, and shared lounges and game rooms make for a fun and social living environment.
Safe and supervised.
Our dorms are occupied only by Wellspring staff and campers. Counselors live in adjacent dorm rooms, within earshot of campers, and a security patrol ensures that our campus remains a completely safe venue where we can focus on having fun, losing weight and creating life-long change for campers.
First-rate facilities and fitness center.
Fitness facilities at Wellspring Florida include a large fitness center with strength training and cardio suites, rooms for aerobics and group fitness classes, and multiple gymnasia. Outside, campers enjoy FIT's well-maintained playing fields, two outdoor pools, a sand volleyball court, and walking trails through the 30-acre Botanical Gardens. In addition, our proximity to the beach means that campers enjoy plenty of time enjoying the famous beaches of Central Florida's Atlantic Coast.
Positive environment and understanding peers.
Surrounded by peers who understand their weight loss struggle, Wellspring Florida campers focus on transforming their lives and making positive changes in their thoughts, behaviors, and actions. We provide an inspiring and supportive environment where life changing experiences are shared by campers on their journey to creating sustainable healthy and happy lifestyles.
Wellspring Florida Camp Director
Ben is self-proclaimed guru of summer camp and is very excited to join the Wellspring family. Before joining Wellspring, he supervised several camps with the YMCA and assisted the American Camp Association (ACA) with training summer camp directors and their staff.
He also served as the Athletic Director for a private sports club in NYC where he also started a club volleyball program and coached one of the teams. Ben has been a NASM certified personal trainer and CrossFit coach since 2014. He loves to share his love for fitness, healthy eating and always staying active. You can expect to see him this summer motivating the campers and staff to do their best and supporting them in achieving their goals.
Ben is the oldest of 4 boys and proud to be a native Floridian. When not at camp, he is always looking for new ways to physically challenge himself and hopes to do a race on every continent.
Trips to the beach for surfing, swimming, boogie boarding, and kayaking are regular activities for Wellspring Florida campers.
Campers will have plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine and great beaches, and we've scheduled several special trips to favorite Florida destinations such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and the Florida Tech Challenge Course.
Whoever said food that tastes good can’t be good for you never tried the food at Wellspring Florida!
Based at the Florida Institute of Technology in Central Florida, we have world-class accommodations and access to top-notch athletic and fitness facilities. We are just minutes from the beach, and the surrounding area offers many exciting excursions, from trips to Florida's famous theme parks, to kayaking, surfing and many other outdoor adventures.
Every camper at Wellspring Florida has a private room in an apartment style setting. This means four campers share a 'living room' and two bathrooms, then each camper has a private room off the living room.
Laundry facilities are available on campus, and each camper will have the opportunity to do laundry each week.

Yes! In fact, family involvement is strongly encouraged. Visiting weekends for Wellspring Florida occur on Family Workshop weekends only. Dates are provided in your enrollment packet. It is highly recommended that you attend a Family Workshop so you can learn how to best support your child once he or she returns home. Once you have attended one of our Family Workshops, you may use a subsequent workshop weekend solely for visitation with your child if you'd like. Your child may leave campus with you during these visitation hours. Your child may also go to your hotel with you in the evenings during Family Workshop weekends.
At Wellspring Florida, we are accustomed to catering to all skill and fitness levels in our activities. We also operate on a “Challenge By Choice” philosophy. Our goal is to encourage enjoyment of these activities both at camp and after returning home. If your child is nervous about a certain activity, rest assured that our professional staff will help your child to reach his or her goals, at his or her own speed.
