A Day at Wellspring Adventure Camp: Fun and Adventure
From the moment you awake until the moment you hit the hay, a day at Wellspring Adventure Camp is full of fun activities, great food, new experiences, and a chance to make lifelong friends.
Here is a typical day at Wellspring Adventure Camp. While every day is different, you can rest assured that another fun adventure is always right around the corner.
Typical Day #1: On an Adventure Expedition
Stretching and morning walk: On your way to your goal of 10,000 steps today.
Breakfast of banana pancakes cooked on camp stoves followed by self-monitoring.
Whitewater rafting trip. You've been learning to paddle on land, now it's time to take your new skills (and your friends!) into the water.

Waterfall hike and lunch. Take a break from rafting to enjoy a lunch of Pita Pizzas next to a waterfall, followed by self-monitoring
Continuation of whitewater rafting. Back on the raft for an afternoon in the sunshine. Stop along the way for a mid-afternoon snack of granola bars.
Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Behavioral Coach. Take a break from your adventure for CBT group. Today you're figuring out ways to manage stress at school

Dinner of low-fat chicken Alfredo and fruit followed by self-monitoring.
Camp fire with camp songs and fat-free S'mores cooked over the fire. Yum!
Bedtime under the stars.
Typical Day #2: Back at Base Camp
Morning walk or jog while you watch the sun make its way over the mountains.
Breakfast of scrambled Egg Beaters, turkey bacon and whole wheat toast, fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.
Finals of the soccer tournament. You didn't think you liked soccer in gym class, but it turns out you've got a great shot!
Culinary class. Each group is making a different after-school snack. Your group is learning how to make oatmeal cookie bars.
Lunch of fat free grilled cheese with vegetable soup, salad and yogurt with fruit, followed by self-monitoring.
Siesta: Time to rest up for a full afternoon.
Personal training. Today you're learning how to get in a full workout using just hand weights and a chair. Go for a Wellspring Record!
Tennis lesson. Working on your serve in preparation for the tournament tomorrow.
Individual session with Behavioral Coach. Today you're talking about overcoming resistance to new challenges.
Dinner of grilled chicken, seasoned rice and steamed veggies, minestrone soup, and salad, followed by self-monitoring
Dance Night! Music friends, and the fresh mountain air.
