Delicious and Nutritious Healthy Food
Before finding Wellspring, many campers have tried fad diets and complicated eating plans, coming to believe that eating low-fat means sacrificing all that is wonderful about food. At Wellspring, we know that food is an important and enjoyable part of life, and we introduce campers to a much simpler and healthier way of eating that leaves them full and satisfied.
The food at Wellspring Adventure Camp has the taste and texture of food that campers are used to eating, but with less fat and fewer calories. The food is prepared using low-fat, low-density cooking methods, allowing campers to enjoy many of their favorite foods while still losing weight. Chicken fingers and sweet potato fries, burgers and macaroni salad, chicken enchiladas-campers not only enjoy these delicious favorites in the cafeteria, but also learn how to prepare them in culinary and nutrition classes.
You'll never be hungry at Wellspring Adventure Camp because, in addition to fantastic entrees that taste and look like the foods you're used to eating, you always have unlimited access to a variety of fat-free foods such as fruits, vegetables, homemade soups, fat-free tuna salad and egg salad, fat-free yogurts, fat-free cottage cheese, and more.
Wellspring's way of eating is unique, but after you experience it, you'll ask: "Why doesn't everyone do it this way?" Instead of restricting all foods and leaving campers hungry like many traditional weight loss camps, diet camps or "fat camps" - an approach that is not sustainable after campers return home - Wellspring combines "controlled" foods with unlimited "uncontrolled" foods available at every meal. It's a new way of eating that you and your family will enjoy continuing after camp.

Lunch
- Black Bean Burritos with Steamed Rice, Hot Salsa, Fat-Free Cheese, Onions and Mushrooms
- Low-Fat Buffalo and Veggie Hot Dogs with Fixings
- Fat-Free Cheese Quesadillas with Spicy Tomato Soup
- Turkey, Ham and Cheese Sandwiches, Fresh Salad and Baked Potato Chips
Dinner
- Linguini with Bison Marinara Sauce and Grilled Veggies
- Marinated Chicken with Roast Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli
- Bison and Veggie Burger Cookout with Potato Salad and Homemade Coleslaw
