Weight Loss Activities at Wellspring New York
Wellspring New York is a place to explore new activities for your body and mind. You can try something for the first time, or get better at activities you already love. Our goal is to help you find the activities that you like—because these are the ones you're most likely to continue when you return home. From personal training to soccer, white water rafting to gourmet cooking classes, at Wellspring New York, you can find what it takes to return to a normal weight and to keep yourself active and healthy for the rest of your life.

In addition to a full schedule of on-campus fitness classes, we also leave camp to explore the surrounding lakes and rivers, take day trips to local parks and bike trails, and explore nearby towns and shopping centers. And we offer exciting trips to New York City, Six Flags Great Escape, and Niagara Falls!
Fitness and Lifetime Sports
As part of the Wellspring Plan, participants take at least 10,000 steps a day, tracked on a pedometer that each camper and staff member wears at all times. But "getting your steps in" every day is just a small part of the activity you'll enjoy at Wellspring New York. We want you to find activities that you will continue to enjoy upon returning home, so we give you a wide variety of activity options, including:

More Fitness Options at Club Hour
Each afternoon at Wellspring New York, participants head off to Club Hour, with the option to change clubs on a weekly basis. Bolster group fitness skills in the Kickboxing Club one week, then perfect your serve at Volleyball Club the next! Take the first steps toward a long-term goal with the 5K Club or take a dip with the Water Sports Club. The variety of Clubs takes the Wellspring activity management approach one step further. We want you to try new things, strengthen skills you already have, and spend time doing the things you enjoy while forming fitness habits to enhance your new lifestyle.

Outdoor Weight Loss Activities
Our campus is ideally situated for a variety of outdoor adventures. Whether enjoying walks through Jackson's Gardens on campus, exploring the mysterious caverns and gorges unique to the area, venturing out for a day trip in the nearby Adirondack Mountains, or plunging into your very first whitewater rafting adventure, Wellspring New York offers a summer of outdoor fun for girls and young women—no matter what your level of experience. We work with each camper at her own level of fitness to ensure a positive and rewarding experience at all of our outings. If you don't already love the great outdoors, you will by the end of a summer at Wellspring New York.

Just for Fun
Fun and friendship are what Wellspring New York is all about. We'll make sure you have the chance to try plenty of the goofy, fun camp activities that you expect at summer camp.
