Wellspring Camps is currently hiring for summer 2012 positions.
Join an energetic, diverse community of people committed to helping children and adolescents and adults lose weight and change their lives. Each summer, Wellspring Camps seek enthusiastic, dedicated staff members to round out our team at each of our locations. We look for team players who:
- Have an interest in obesity treatment, nutrition, personal and athletic training, children's health
- Are at least 21* years of age
- Have a clean driving and criminal record
- Are CPR/First-Aid certified (or willing to gain certification prior to start-date)
- Will be role models to our campers for healthy eating, fitness and positive attitude
- Are ready to work hard in a challenging setting as part of a tremendous learning and work experience
*Summer team members must be at least 21 in order to qualify as a camp vehicle driver.
What do summer staff do?
Wellspring introduces campers to a healthy lifestyle by teaching them how to eat healthy and to love physical activity. Counselors play a critical role in leading sports, games and supervising campers on other cool activities both on campus and off. While having fun, it is also critical that counselors role model a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle. Finally, Wellspring trains campers on the set of behaviors that they need to become successful weight controllers for the rest of their lives. All staff also receive this training in preparation for their summer role.The unprecedented success of Wellspring campers is owed primarily to the quality, commitment and integrity of our staff. Candidates must complete an interview with one of our Program Directors, pass reference and background checks, complete several pre-camp training modules online, and successfully complete on-site training.
