A Typical Day at Wellspring Florida
Days at Wellspring Florida are filled with sunshine, time with new friends, and lots of fun activity. Here’s a snapshot of two typical days at Wellspring Florida:
Typical Day #1
- Morning Walk: On your way to your daily goal of 10,000 steps with a morning walk through the Botanical Gardens.

- Breakfast. French toast with syrup and turkey sausage, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.

- Soccer: Head down to the field for a game of soccer with your friends.

- Personal Training: Today you’re learning the proper way to use free weights for strength and weight loss.

- Lunch: Bison burgers, pasta salad, vegetable soup, and fresh fruit, followed by self-monitoring.

- Group Session with Behavioral Coach: You’re working on ideas for improving frustration tolerance at school.

- Snack: Fat-free chips or chocolate pudding. Yum!

- Pool Time: Swimming relays and water aerobics class in one of WFL’s two outdoor pools.

- Shower/Bunk Time: Meet up with your friends in the lounge for a quick board game before dinner.

- Dinner: Pita pizzas and steamed veggies, salad bar, fresh fruit, and frozen yogurt for dessert, followed by self-monitoring.

- Dance Party: A night of fun times with new friends.

- Snack of air-popped popcorn, then back to your private room for a great night’s sleep.

Typical Day #2:
- Morning Activity: Choose between morning yoga or walk/jog.

- Breakfast: Egg Beaters with salsa and turkey bacon, or cereal and milk, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.

- Off to the Beach: A morning of sand volleyball and snorkeling.

- Culinary Class: Today you’re learning to make delicious oatmeal cookie bars.

- Lunch: Chicken fajita wraps with rice and veggies, fresh fruit, followed by self-monitoring.

- Aerobic Kickboxing Class: Work up a sweat as you punch, kick and laugh with your friends.

- Snack: Brownies or popsicles.

- Kayaking: Learning to paddle in the beautiful Florida sunshine.

- Shower/Bunk Time: Just enough time to write home to tell your family about everything you’ve done this week.

- Dinner: Pork Tenderloin, corn, and baked potato with Jello for dessert, followed by self-monitoring.

- Evening Outing: Mini-Golf Tournament

- Snack of pretzels or caramel rice cakes, then time to relax with suite-mates before you head to your room for lights out.
