Delicious and Nutritious Diet Your Family Can Continue at Home
You and your kids will love the food at Wellspring Family Camp! Our menu is full of kid-friendly favorites that keep campers full and satisfied. Cheeseburgers, sweet potato fries, spaghetti and meat sauce, bacon and egg sandwiches, pizza, breaded chicken tenders—this is the type of food you can expect to enjoy at camp.

The secret is in the way Wellspring prepares food. We use some different ingredients. Then instead of adding fat during the cooking process, we use ultra low-fat, low-density cooking methods like dry sautéing and baking. Therefore, food keeps the texture and flavor kids love, but with very little fat and significantly fewer calories. And we'll teach you how to cook this way in our culinary and nutrition classes.

In addition to the delicious entrées available at each meal, you and your children will have unlimited access to the "uncontrolled food bar," with gourmet soups, veggies, cottage cheese, yogurt, and a variety of fresh fruit available to enjoy. This way, you can be assured you won't ever be hungry and your kids will be able to try a variety of healthy, low-fat, low-density food options.

There are no calorie limits at Wellspring Family Camp. Rather, we aim for the simple goal of staying under 20 grams of fat per day and self-monitoring (writing down) everything you eat, including fat grams and calories. You'll find it's actually very easy to stay under 20 grams of fat per day given our fantastic menu options. And by self-monitoring at camp, you begin developing the habit considered to be most important for long-term weight loss.

Culinary and Nutrition Training
We want you to return home knowing that long-term weight loss is absolutely achievable. So during your time with us, you and your children will be trained how to shop for and cook the way we do at Wellspring. We'll visit grocery stores so you and your kids can find "Wellspring-friendly" substitutes for your favorite meals and snacks, and restaurants so you can learn how to find the best menu options. And back on campus, you and your children will have classes with professional chefs, learning the cooking techniques we use at Wellspring.


Typical Menu
A typical Wellspring Family Camp breakfast might be:
- Breakfast stacker sandwich
- Toasted bagel with fat-free cream cheese and sliced tomatoes
- Selection of cereals
- Variety of fat-free yogurts and fresh fruit
- Oatmeal and fresh fruit
A typical Wellspring Family Camp lunch:
- Turkey or hummus sandwich on wholegrain bread
- Grilled cheese and tomato soup
- Enchiladas, grilled chicken or vegetable
- Pita pizzas
- Selection of cut vegetables and salad
- Selection of whole fruits
For dinner, Wellspring Family Camp guests enjoy:
- Roasted salmon filet with herb roasted vegetables
- Chicken Breast with lemon, cilantro steamed rice, steamed vegetables
- Chili with baked potato bar
- Complete salad bar with variety of fresh, seasonal lettuces, vegetables and fat-free dressings
- Complete fruit and yogurt bar
- Desserts, including angel food cake with fresh fruit and No Pudge Chocolate Brownies
In the afternoon and again in the evening we enjoy a snack:
- Fat free cheese and crackers
- Low Fat Popcorn
- Pretzels
- Veggies and Fat Free Dressings
- Fruit Salad
- Fat Free Brownies
- Fat Free S'mores
- Fat-Free Apple Newtons or Granola Bars
