Traditional weight loss camps operate during the summer and largely rely on hiring high school and college students as staff, including many former campers who return each summer to lose weight themselves.

In contrast, Wellspring Camps are the summer programs of Wellspring – the world’s leading weight loss programs for children, adolescents and young adults.  In addition to Wellspring Camps, Wellspring operates Wellspring Academies, formerly Academy of the Sierras, and Wellspring Community Programs – both of which are year-round programs.

With 11 summer programs internationally, as well as boarding schools, Wellspring attracts the leading professionals in a range of fields related to weight loss. Wellspring professionals are employed year-round to ensure that Wellspring Camps are as fun and effective as possible. Our scale and scope also permit Wellspring to offer comprehensive family involvement and after-care. Finally, Wellspring researchers will be following up with your family for years as part of our outcome studies.
