Typical Day at Wellspring
Camp La Jolla
At Wellspring Camp La Jolla, you will enjoy days filled with exciting activities, great friends, delicious food, and adventures that take you to the beach and far beyond.
Here is what you can expect from two typical days at Wellspring Camp La Jolla:
Typical Day #1 at Wellspring Camp La Jolla
- Wake up for stretch and morning walk . What a great way to start the day!

- Breakfast of turkey bacon, egg beaters, and English muffin, fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.

- Off to Personal Training. Today we're working on developing core strength using fitness equipment.

- Surf Camp at the beach. I had no idea I could surf!

- Lunch of Better n'Butter or turkey sandwiches, pretzels, vegetable soup, and fruit, followed by self-monitoring.

- Group Behavioral Coaching—we're talking about emotional eating triggers today.

- Snack of fat-free ice cream or caramel rice cakes.

- Nutrition/Culinary Class. We learned to make pita pocket sandwiches and pasta salad—yum!

- Racquetball lesson followed by a match with your partner.

- Time for dinner! Tonight it's chicken or bean burritos, rice, taco soup, and fresh fruit.

- Walk to the beach for sunset, an evening bonfire and camp songs.

- Snack of fat-free brownies.

- Back to dorms for time with friends, then lights out.

Typical Day #2 at Wellspring Camp La Jolla
- Wake up for morning basketball or a walk, on your way to your 10,000 step goal.

- Breakfast of bagel and no-fat cream cheese, fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.

- Water aerobics or laps in the pool.

- Volleyball at the sand courts. Today we're working on serving.

- Lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, fruit and yogurt, followed by self-monitoring.

- Nutrition class. We're going to the grocery store to find substitutes for our favorite snacks.

- Snack of pudding or fat-free chips

- Biking trip. We're headed to the hills for some trail biking.

- Off to the beach for fitness games—volleyball, wiffle ball, and frisbee.

- Dinner of spaghetti with meatballs, steamed veggies, lentil soup, fresh fruit.

- It's a relaxing evening activity of playing games and watching movies.

- Snack of seasoned air-popped popcorn.

- Back to dorms for time with friends, then lights out.
